Roger Wheeler
Manager BBA, AMP
Roger is the founder/manager of Nova Mortgage Company, and has been operating since 2002. Prior to his work at Nova Mortgage Company, Roger spent 25 years in the financial industry working with TDCT, formerly known as Toronto Dominion Bank. Roger was the Manager of various branches across the Atlantic Provinces, and garnered a reputation for building strong relationships through excellent customer service. It is those same customer service values he has carried over with him to the Broker industry that has set him apart from his various competitors.
A graduate of the Acadia School of business, Roger was an actively involved student athlete playing football during the late 1970’s for the wolfville based school, competing in the 1975 & ’76 Atlantic Bowls. Upon Graduating in 1976, Roger took his first full time position with the Toronto Dominion Bank in nearby Bridgewater and soon after married his wife Paula Macinnis, also an Acadia graduate. Roger & Paula have spent the years in various places across the Atlantic Provinces, raising their four children Matthew, Sara, Nathan & Daniel. The Wheeler’s have been living in the Halifax area for the past 10 years now, and have become a fixture in the Community. The various volunteer works would include coaching, fundraising and administration for minor football, basketball, soccer, track & field and the Nova Scotia youth orchestra. 
Matt Wheeler
Mortgage Officer BBA
Born in St. John’s NFLD, Matthew is a true Atlantic product. From St. John’s to Fredericton, to Dartmouth, to Sackville NB and most recently Halifax, Matt has had the opportunity to experience many different facets of East Coast living. Being involved in various sports growing up, the transition to new places was always made easier, and the friends always lasting.
A graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School where he competed in football & basketball, Matt decided independently to follow in his parents footsteps and attend Acadia University. Attracted by the intriguing Acadia Advantage Program and strong reputation for its business school, he enrolled in the BBA program. Along with his studies, Matt also played football at Acadia, competing for the conference championship on a yearly basis. After Graduating in 2004, Matt took a job in Las Vegas, NV working with the State’s leading mortgage brokerage, Custom Home Loans Inc. Working in the lending department as a customer service representative, Matt was able to gain valuable experience in the industry.
A Member of Nova Mortgage Company since August of 2006, Matt has been using his Technical & communication skills as well as a customer service orientated attitude to reach out to the younger generation of homebuyers and potential NMC customers.
